Position Summary

Serve as the Corporate’s senior technology executive, providing pragmatic, business-centric, and transparent counsel to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board of Directors, and external parties (e.g., members, regulators, business partners). Align the department’s mission, purpose, and strategy with those established by the organization. Using a foundational team-based and solutions-based culture, drive innovation and strategic thought leadership while ensuring effective and efficient daily operations are achieved and meet the needs of its constituents.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide direction/guidance to ongoing Information Technology activities, including daily operations and strategic projects, across Engineering, Infrastructure (Operations and Network), Software Development, Special Projects, and Item Processing, as required. Encourage identification of operational efficiencies to better utilize existing resources and determine appropriate future staffing levels.
  • Establish a results- and service-based culture based upon supporting business objectives, the concepts of “We > Me” and “no surprises,” and creative solutioning.
  • Invest in personal and professional development, including maturation, of direct reports to secure/identify viable succession candidates. Create and implement training plans to support developmental needs. Ensure the same for all departmental staff.
  • Orchestrate and execute departmental strategic planning activities, aligning internal efforts and results with its Strategic Plan and in support of the Corporate’s long-term business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the development of adequate and appropriate policies, procedures, and internal controls, allowing for effective operational integrity, accurate and secure financial transactions and reporting, and quality service to the Corporate’s membership. Serve as the primary point of contact for external examiners and auditors.
  • Coordinate development of the annual budget (including ad hoc projects/initiatives), working with departmental and functional management, to sufficiently staff and support approved initiatives.
  • Remain current on industry-specific trends related to information technology across the Credit Union Movement and, where applicable, all industries.

RELATED DUTIES:

  • Promote an efficient and effective working environment which builds cross-functional trust, supports collaboration, and reflects a positive attitude.
  • Share knowledge transparently across the department and organization to minimize siloed capabilities and single points of failure. Translate technical jargon into common business vernacular to allow constituents to understand the “big picture” and how it will impact them.
  • Provide oversight and guidance regarding Enterprise Risk initiatives (e.g., Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Compliance, Information Security, Data Classification, Data Privacy, Vendor Management) in support of the Corporate’s risk appetite.
  • Ensure cross-training schedules are developed and implemented timely for new and existing IT staff, providing adequate operational coverage during vacations, illness, etc.
  • Adhere to company and governmental policies and regulations, including those related to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Plan compliance.
  • Understand Bank Secrecy Act and adhere to its policies.
  • Perform other special projects and related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems or related fields, or equivalent years with relevant experience, plus 10 to 15 years progressive management experience in information technology and/or innovation within the financial services industry is strongly preferred.

Experience with staff management, professional/personal development, strategic planning/thinking/communicating, and budget development/adherence, along with having a strong business acumen and a business-first/solution-based mindset, are required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Exceptional interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concerns/solutions into common business language.
  • Ability to effectively motivate and manage staff, building a team culture of exceptional service (internal or external), collaboration/transparency, and creative thinking.
  • Proven ability to plan, direct and execute complex technology projects successfully.

Position Summary

Responsible for ensuring the policies and procedures of the Corporate Credit Union comply with the appropriate laws and regulations. Analyze new and pending laws and regulations that could directly impact the Corporate Credit Union’s current practices. Develop and revise current policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Ensures all affected areas of the Corporate Credit Union are kept informed of changing laws and procedures for implementation to be completed at the appropriate time.

Responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and reporting of BSA/AML/OFAC activity, including but not limited to Know Your Customer (KYC) or Member Due Diligence (MDD), Suspicious Activity Report (SARs), risk assessment, monitoring wires (domestic and international) and large dollar returns, appropriate record keeping for SAR filings and record retention, and education of staff on proper procedures and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Reviews, assesses, develops, revises, and ensures the adequacy of programs, policies, and procedures designed to safeguard corporate assets and maintain regulatory compliance. Ensures policies and procedures are appropriately disseminated. Reviews and supports business units during new product and service launches, identifying compliance requirements.
  • Stays informed of new and pending laws and developments related to compliance issues, analyzes requirements, appropriately revises policies and procedures, and ensures communication and implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Develops, directs, and implements a compliance program and schedule to review internal areas for compliance. Primary lead for internal and external compliance related request.
  • Maintain BSA/AML/OFAC program, including reporting of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), timely reporting to regulating bodies, Director Enterprise Risk and Board of Directors.
  • Provides employee training on compliance related issues and policy changes. Develops a library of compliance resources for employee use.
  • Maintains records and documentation of compliance activities, complaints, investigations, and outcomes. Analyzes, prepares, and files appropriate reports with regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for identifying and monitoring activity for high-risk credit unions identified during the annual member risk assessment.
  • Prepares reports concerning corporate compliance issues to the Board of Directors as requested.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

RELATED DUTIES:

  • Understand BSA & OFAC regulations, laws, corporate policies, and procedures. Oversee verification of OFAC updates when the SDN list is updated into payments platforms.
  • Complete due diligence requested by member credit unions and maintain corporate due diligence package available for membership.
  • Assist in the development of internal systems user account reviews performed annually for various platforms used by the corporate.
  • Provide feedback for program development.
  • Conduct special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in gathering related documentation for annual exam.
  • Adhere to company and governmental policies and regulations, including those related to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Plan compliance.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum five (5) years of similar or related experience within the financial services industry.
  • Education – (1) A bachelor’s degree, (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry (e.g. CCEP, CRCM, CCP, CAMS, BSACS, etc.) , or (3) Legal or Paralegal degree (or equivalent certifications to Paralegal degree).
  • Experience with Financial Contract reviews.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
  • Thorough knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules (e.g., U.S. Patriot Act as it relates to BSA & OFAC, ACH Operating Rules)
  • Thorough knowledge of banking practices, policies, procedures, operations, products, services and regulations. Specific knowledge of the philosophy and structure of the Credit Union industry.
  • Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications

Hybrid Work Environment: Position will have the ability to work remotely with some in-office presences for in-person meetings.

Position Summary

Primary responsibility Develops, configures, and manages application servers as well as the software that runs on those servers. Analyzes and maintains system performance such as server stress and ensures efficient resource usage.

Coordinates tasks between development and operations team.

Designs, builds and maintains IT infrastructure including storage solutions, servers, switches, firewalls and networks. Manages the deployment, maintenance, and upgrade processes of software applications.

Collaborates with software application developers and engineers to configure and troubleshoot application servers.

Install and configure systems.

Document system configuration and architecture plans.

RELATED DUTIES:

  • Assists in day-to-day help desk support for the company and members.
  • Prepare reports of programming activities, identify procedural changes and impact.

  • Kubernetes – setup, maintenance, deployment, security
  • Azure Vault – setup, security
  • Experience with setting up and securing CI / CD
  • Previous experience in cloud infrastructure, integration, cloud server provisioning
  • Experience in scripting languages such as, Terraform, ansible Shell Scripting, Python
  • Experience in building, maintaining virtualization on VMWare, Public Cloud
  • Experience in configuration management, Chef or Salt.
