Position Summary

The Symphony Consultant role will be responsible for providing accounting services to credit unions including general ledger reconciliations, accounting close process and Call Reporting. As a part of this position, the consultant will aid with Supervisory Committee Audits. In addition, this position will be required to complete Asset Liability Management modeling under the VolCorp umbrella.

This role will be required to develop strong and long-term relationships with current and potential member credit unions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting services to multiple credit unions within the accounting function. This would include general ledger reconciliations, month/quarter/year-end accounting processing, financial reporting, budgeting, and completing the Call Report. This position will require frequent communication with the credit union on progress and provide supporting documentation for all work completed.
  • Assist with audits based upon guidance provided by NCUA and state regulations for Supervisory Committee Audits. Use strong analytic skills and accuracy to determine findings from the procedures completed. Document audit procedures using detailed workpapers developed internally or from credit union provided documents. Communicate with credit union client and direct supervisor of the audit process and on all issues that may arise. Develop audit report and present it to credit union client.
  • Work with credit union members to gather data and assumption requirements for modeling input. Verify data received assumption templates are in balance and complete.
  • Load data and assumptions into ZM ALM Modeling software and verify accuracy. Run model to perform interest rate and liquidity risk positions. Communicate with the credit union during modeling process if data or assumptions appear incorrect or questions arise.
  • Review results to determine changes from prior model runs are within reason based upon current Balance Sheet composition. Compile result reporting package, deliver and schedule meeting with credit union to discuss results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned for either Symphony or VolCorp.
  • Included with each responsibility, the individual must be able develop strong relationships with clients.

RELATED DUTIES:

  • Perform other assignments and special projects as directed by the Symphony’ CEO/President or VolCorp’s Senior Leadership Team members.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting, with CPA preferred.
  • Knowledge of credit union accounting preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, state credit union regulations and federal credit union regulations.
  • Strong verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills.
  • Strong professional etiquette.
  • Effective presentation skills to present audit findings, provide training or discuss best practices while adapting conversation to the audience’s skill level.
  • Effective interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of various software platforms to assist in job, such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills to lead to continual process improvement within workflows and overall job responsibilities.
  • Time Management and ability to easily accept and manage change.
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated. Requiring very little direct supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable, and scalable code using HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS.

Position Summary

Serve as liaison and the primary contact between the member credit unions regarding all aspects of their relationship with the corporate. Receive incoming telephone calls requesting information and member service: Assist members with any and all inquiries or transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone and take transactions from member credit unions, respond to inquiries, and provide effective member service.
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing wire transfers; verify dollar amount, credit union routing and transit, authorized password for destination of wire transfer.
  • Receive Member Share Draft returns, stop payments, inquiries, copy requests and changes.
  • Receive and maintain Corporate Share draft stop payments, returns, inquiries, copy requests and changes.
  • Send new authorization forms to credit unions as requested.
  • Prepare VolCorp’s check deposit and forward to Item Processing.
  • Prepare and balance any foreign collection item or foreign availability voucher.
  • Respond to inquiries, research and resolve issues with credit unions as appropriate.
  • Entering and approving tele-transfer and electronic debit transfer requests on Ezfunds.
  • Provide frontline support for VolCorp’s Internet applications.
  • Adhere to all Corporates BSA and OFAC rules and policies

RELATED DUTIES:

  • Assist with mass mailings as necessary.
  • Provide back-up duties for other Member Service coordinator.
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Summary

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex systems necessary for the successful operation of our organization. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively. Troubleshoots system performance issues and creates and helps maintains a disaster recovery plan.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, enhance and implement new and existing internal information systems.
  • Manages the maintenance of the technology environment used by the business.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance, reliability, and security of systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to systems and infrastructure.
  • Work independently and with teams to develop and implement IT solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies to recommend and implement best practices.
  • Install and relocate VolCorp Network equipment, personal computers and related equipment. Maintaining a complete list of all computer equipment, serial numbers and physical location of equipment.
  • Provide technical support for IT systems and networks.
  • Storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning of storage components
  • Manages and maintains virtual technology and its systems.
  • Provide budgetary information to supervisor as needed.

RELATED DUTIES:

  • Manages Storage Area Network (SAN) and associated components.
  • Maintain contact with software vendors to research operating problems and discuss new applications.
  • Adhere to company and governmental policies and regulations, including those related to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Plan compliance.
