Christina Adkison
ALM Assumptions

This session will provide information on how to make your ALM model relevant to the behavior and of your credit union through using specific assumptions, instead of model defaults.

Christina Adkison leads Symphony with a love for the credit union industry and a mission for helping those who work within it. Serving in a dual role since 2021, including her position as Chief Experience Officer of VolCorp, Christina came to the company with 25 years of credit union experience. Her primary experience coming from controller, project management, and CFO positions, Christina also had the opportunity to lead 10 merger and 2 purchase/assumption projects: giving her the ability to learn all aspects of operating a credit union.

Christina graduated with an accounting degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN in 1994, obtaining her Certified Public Accountant license in 1996. She’s been married to her high school sweetheart, Brian, for almost 30 years. Now an empty nester, she plans to add to her free time not spent with her daughter and two dogs – Phoebe Louise and Millie Rose – by travelling and seeing new places.

Risk without Borders: Managing Risk Across the Enterprise

In today’s environment, risk no longer respects organizational boundaries. It moves quickly across functions, technologies, and geographies—often outpacing the structures designed to manage it. Yet many organizations still approach risk in silos, limiting visibility, slowing response, and leaving leadership without a clear, unified view.

This session explores the modern reality of risk and outlines a practical path toward a more connected, enterprise-wide approach. From establishing a strong foundation in enterprise risk management (ERM) to centralizing risk functions and strengthening board-level reporting. Attendees will walk away with a clear understanding of how today’s risk landscape is shifting and actionable insights to evolve their current risk management program.

Tyler McNair brings an extensive background of technology and security training to his everyday responsibilities as VolCorp’s Chief Risk Officer. Certified as an Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Security Manager (CISM), Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), and in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Tyler has been instrumental in developing VolCorp’s own security awareness training program, bringing a similar focus to Symphony customers looking for their own renewed concentration on enterprise risk-related strategies.

Tyler is an MBA graduate from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN and now sits on the ERM Initiative Advisory Board within North Carolina State’s Poole School of Management.

Common, and often Avoidable, Call Report Errors

This session will focus on several common Call Report Errors per NCUA Regulators and how to prevent them going forward.

Ashley Harris, TransFund
Bridging Fraud, Security, and Customer Experience

Traditional fraud prevention has focused on analyzing transactions for suspicious signals, but this approach is increasingly insufficient. Modern fraud often occurs before a transaction takes place, targeting identities through account takeovers, synthetic identities, phishing, and social engineering scams. As a result, identity—not transactions—has become the primary attack surface.

An identity-first approach shifts fraud prevention toward continuous identity trust, using behavioral patterns, device consistency, contextual signals, and identity relationships to assess risk in real time. This enables organizations to detect fraud earlier, reduce false positives, and intervene more precisely—often before financial loss occurs.

By elevating identity to a strategic asset, organizations can better align fraud prevention, security, and customer experience, while also protecting legitimate users who may be manipulated into authorizing fraudulent actions. The future of fraud prevention lies in understanding and safeguarding identity across the entire customer journey, not just at the moment of a transaction.

Previously serving as Manager of Projects and Conversions, Ashley successfully led complex, enterprise-level implementations and became a trusted partner to clients navigating high-stakes changes.

Throughout her career, she has built deep expertise in the EFT ecosystem, collaborating closely with network brands, core processors, and financial institutions. This comprehensive industry knowledge—combined with her strong customer service background—enables her to deliver exceptional project leadership, client experience, and strategic guidance that differentiates TransFund in the marketplace.

In her current role, Ashley oversees initiatives that position TransFund to anticipate evolving client needs and strengthen the company’s competitive edge. Her proven track record, passion for innovation, and unwavering commitment to the customer experience make her an invaluable member of the TransFund leadership team.

Cybersecurity: It’s Not Just a Compliance Checklist

Cyber threats continue to evolve in both sophistication and impact, making a compliance-only approach increasingly insufficient. Cybersecurity: It’s Not Just a Compliance Checklist helps you understand today’s most common threats, including phishing, ransomware, social engineering, and vendor risk - and highlights why true resilience requires more than checking regulatory boxes. Cybersecurity is more than an IT function or an audit requirement - it is a critical business priority that directly impacts member trust and organizational stability.

This session will reframe cybersecurity as an enterprise-wide responsibility, relevant to every role within the credit union. Attendees will leave with clear, actionable steps to help their credit union move from a reactive, checklist mindset to a proactive, organization-wide approach to cybersecurity.

Cody Lee, Information Security Officer, is an experienced IT and Cybersecurity professional with more than 20 years of experience. Cody graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2016 with a degree in Management and HR. When he's not working, he loves coaching little league baseball, hiking, camping, or traveling with his family.

From Start to Finish: How to Give Yourself the Gift of Done

According to a study conducted by the University of Scranton, 92% of resolutions fail. That’s a staggering number considering how important goals are to companies. You actually have a greater shot of getting into Julliard in New York City to be a ballerina than hitting your next sales goal.

Or your next budget reduction.

Or your next service rollout.

In every element of your work, goals matter. What if we could do some simple things to improve how often we finished what we started? What if we could complete the incomplete projects and tasks? What if we could get more done in a world of bottomless opportunities and endless distractions?

New York Times Bestselling Author Jon Acuff says you can. How does he know? Research, research and more research!

Jon suspected goal-completion was not luck or genetics. So, he commissioned a study with assistant professor Mike Peasley, PhD to test what it takes to turn a chronic starter into a consistent finisher. The research team analyzed 900 people over a six-month process as they worked on goals. The study resulted in a #1 Wall Street Journal Bestseller titled “Finish” and principles Acuff has taught to teams such as Walmart, FedEx and Nokia.

The good news is, you can learn to finish. It’s not a natural talent some people have and others do not. It can be taught.

Ever have an employee, team member or department almost finish something? Every wished you could complete more of the things you care about? It’s time to learn what it really takes!

Starting is fun, but the future belongs to finishers.

The Economic Forecast

In this always entertaining and very informative presentation on the economy that frequently begins with a fun and fast moving “top ten list” Dr. Eisenberg discusses how GDP will perform, what interest rates will do, how the labor market will behave, how much firms will spend, how the residential housing sector and real estate in general will perform and how a whole host of other economic variables (including incomes, auto sales, savings rates, energy prices, exports, government spending and so on) are bound to impact the economy this year (no sugar coating), and why! Learn how to keep the (economic) forest in your view and not lose sight for the (data) trees!

Veep: Earned Wage Access (EWA) Unpacked

Earned Wage Access (EWA) has been part of the U.S. landscape for more than 16 years—but the model is rapidly evolving. In 2025, Chime highlighted a major shift: growth is now being driven by financial institutions, not employers.

Recognizing this change, VolCorp partnered with Veep in late 2025 as demand for financial wellness solutions surged—particularly real‑time access to pay, now the most requested benefit among U.S. workers. Credit unions offering anytime pay access are seeing measurable gains in younger member acquisition, stronger retention, and deeper engagement across their membership base.

With hands‑on EWA experience dating back to 2019, Sharon Kirby‑Wright shares key lessons from the U.S. market and outlines how credit unions can stay ahead of the curve by embracing this evolving benefit.

Sharon Kirby-Wright has over seven years of fintech experience following a successful media career. She has built and led teams across the UK, Europe, US, and Canada and is recognized as a global expert in Earned Wage Access and strategic partnerships. A sought-after speaker on financial inclusion across the United States.

A Practical Guide for Evaluating Your Credit Union’s Stablecoin Strategy & Roadmap

Stablecoin is arguably the hottest buzzword in fintech right now. There is a lot of conflicting information in the market, with self-serving companies pushing their own agendas, that don’t fully contemplate the realities of Credit Unions. This session will help guide your CU through a practical framework of if, when and how to think about offering stablecoins and/or tokenized deposits to your members.

Seema Sheth
Understanding the Federal Reserve: From Framework to Function

Seema Sheth will provide a clear, big-picture look at the Federal Reserve—its structure, responsibilities, and role in shaping the U.S. economy. This presentation will explain how the Fed promotes financial stability, manages the flow of money and credit, and ensures a safe and efficient payment system. It will also highlight additional responsibilities such as serving as the U.S. Treasury’s fiscal agent, supporting community development initiatives, advancing economic education, and providing payment and settlement services to financial institutions. The session will give attendees a broader understanding of the many functions the Federal Reserve performs beyond its most visible roles.
