MagTek Excella/STX Installation for Win2K/XP/Win2003

1. Detach the USB device from the computer if attached .
2. Extract the files to a local directory.
3. Double Click on the setup.exe, follow the instructions and click finish when done

MagTek USB:

MagTek USB Excella/STX requires the API Dll as an Interface to communicate with the devices. The Library and the header file are includes with the package and can be found in the Install directory. Upon selecting the driver install option, the installation will automatically install the driver files and preinstall the drivers. No configuration required. After the installation is complete, please attach the device to the PC and wait for windows to display the prompt "The device is installed and ready to use". The communiction can be tested using the demo program.

RNDIS (Ethernet) USB:

For Ethernet (USB), the device needs to be configured for an IP Address. This can be done by using the configuration utility that can be found in the install directory (ExcellaUSBConfig.exe). The device needs to be attached to the PC prior to executing the configuration utility.
